Information We Collect

📱 Screen Time Data (Usage Statistics)

GenGhealth uses Android's PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS permission to measure your total daily phone screen time in milliseconds. This is used solely to determine if you have met your daily health goals (under 5h, 6h, or 7h thresholds).

  • Only the total usage duration is processed — never which specific apps you use.
  • This aggregated total (in milliseconds) is synced to our secure Firebase servers to track your daily health goal progress.
  • No individual app names, app usage breakdowns, or browsing activity are ever collected or transmitted.

👤 Personal Account Information

When you register, we collect:

  • Email address — for account creation, login, and reward processing.
  • Display name — shown within the app on your profile.
  • User ID — a unique identifier generated by Firebase Authentication.

🏆 Reward & Transaction Data

To operate the rewards system, we store:

  • Daily health goal records (date, total screen time in ms, points earned)
  • Reward withdrawal requests (reward type, points deducted, status)
  • Referral relationships (who referred whom, bonus points)

App Usage Statistics Permission

PACKAGE_USAGE_STATSSensitive Permission

GenGhealth requests the App Usage Access permission on Android. Here is exactly what this means for your privacy:

What we DO access: Total screen-on duration across all apps for the current day (a single number in milliseconds).

What we do NOT access: Which specific apps you use, how long you spend in each app, your browsing history, or any app content.

We do NOT: Sell, share, or disclose your usage data to any third party for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

A full disclosure dialog is displayed within the app before this permission is ever requested. You can revoke this permission at any time in your Android Settings → Apps → Special App Access → Usage Access.

We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Hosting.

  • Firebase stores your account data, usage records, and reward history securely.
  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.

Data Security & Retention

  • All data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
  • Firestore security rules ensure only authenticated users can access their own data.
  • We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.
  • Daily usage records are retained for up to 30 days for goal tracking purposes.
  • You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — Request that all your personal data be permanently deleted.
  • Withdraw consent — Revoke the Usage Access permission at any time via Android Settings.

Children's Privacy

GenGhealth is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at quizedguy@gmail.com.
